security problem

I have problems opening up my database. I tried to set up
a hyperlink on a MS Access form to connect to a mail merge
file in MS Office. I got an error message saying that I do
not have exclusive access to the database and will not be
able to save the file later. The program now placed a
password on my database file and so I cannot open it.

How can I resolve this problem?
