Hi all
We are using Access97. With the help of this group we were able to set up a
database with user level security on a network, the app is now working as
expected.
In the initial stages the user who set up the security was able to log onto
the database from any PC, however other users could not. I'm just curious
how this could be if the workgroup used was local to the user's pc who set
up the security? To my knowledge the user does not have a roaming profile.
So if the user who set up the security logged onto a pc other than their
own, would not the workgroup of that pc be referenced also locking out that
person...yet it seemed not to work that way....I was asked to explain...and
couldn't!!
