Security risk MS04-028 keeps showing up. How do I fix it?

My Trend security has for a long time shown a warning that I have a high risk
security flaw called MS04-028. I can't seem to get it patched. Windows says I
don't need any updates when I go to the sight...Trend gave me a lot of things
to try but it still shows up when I do a scan. HELP! Any ideas on what I can
do to resolve this and get rid of the vulnerability if it is indeed still
there. This has been showing up for a loooooong time now.I'm not even sure
what it means.

I agree this is the wrong newsgroup. I have different antivirus software
that warns me that someone is using a script kidding to attack my
workstation. This happens frequently. As long as you are doing regular
updates you should be fine. I imagine that trend quarantine the ms04-028
problem . If you done all that trend has told you , you should be ok .
It could be a piece of software that trend doesn't like. For peace of
mind take it to a repair shop. Good luck.

You have a severe problem, because one or more of the critical updates
832332, 831932, or 831931 failed to install properly on your computer (even
though it reported it was successful), due to your having installed previous
updates for Office XP, Visio 2002, or Project 2002. The good news is that
you can fix this yourself, but you need to install the non-buggy versions of

If you value your computer and the information on it, then I recommend that
you find a friend or relative who is knowledgeable about computers to
explain things to you, and show you how to fix things or where to go on the
Internet to find out how to fix things. If this isn't possible, then take
formal classes to learn more about computers and the operating system and
applications you use. As a last resort, hire a professional to keep your
computer in tip-top shape for you.
