Security Settings for Portfolio Projects

We have just implemented Enterprise Project Management 2003 using Project
2003. In our setup, we only allow project managers to see their own projects.
Do we have to create a separate category (containing the projects in the
portfolio) for every portfolio which a portfolio manager manager? If this is
true, I may end up creating a category for every major projects we have since
these projects involves more than 1 application with each application having
their own project team.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi Leo,
I can see a couple of ways to doing this without specifiying which projects
belong to which categories
1. If your structure fits it, then the RBS will allow this, assuming your
Port Mngr sits above your Proj Mngr. The Port Mngr should be able to see the
projects due to the My Organisation category.
2. If your RBS doesn't allow this, then create another outline code called
portfolio, and create views which filter on this code.
