SECURITY SETTINGS PROHIBIT RUNNING ACTIVE X

C

Colin Johnson

I seem to have problems accessing any site, including MSN
E-mails, that require my machine to pass any information
i.e. passwords etc.
I am on BT broadband so I tried to acceess their 'Nethelp'
site aonly to get a 'MICROSOFT NETWORK EXPLORER' message
reading
'Your current security settings prohibit running active X
controls on this page. As a result the page may not
display correctly'
I have checked all my internet explorer settings aginst
the MSN help page and they all seem to be correct.
Can anyone throw any light on the situation and advise any
possible solutions?

Sorry this is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try
annexcafe.general.user2user newsgroup.

Also check any firewall controls.
