Does Project Server 2002 uses SSL to communicate information.
I know that Project Server 2002 uses SOAP protocols but maybe SSL is
embedded in some part of the communication protocol.

Where can I find a condensed documentation about Security Protocols
concentrated on the technical stuff.

You can configure PServer & STS to use SSL. Check the Admin pages of PWA.

Also look in the administrative documentation. A link I have doesn't work
anymore, but you should download the EIF which you can find in PWA > Admin >
implementation framework (the last options as far as i remember), and look
at the documents herein.
