Security Update Won't Complete...What now?

For two days, I've had a "yellow shield" indicating an update is downloading
-- but it seems to have stopped at 31%. When I go to the Security Center
and attempt another update, the utility "freezes up" (the only way to end it
is to go to TASK MANAGER and end the process).

Any ideas, anybody???? Desperately would like to proceed!

(I'm running XP Pro SP2)

I think you'll need to find a more appropriate newsgroup to ask this
question.

This newsgroup is for questions about security in Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional. It's not clear from your
question where you're talking a Windows update, or an update of your virus
scanner, but in either case, it has nothing to do with the focus of this
newsgroup. If it's a Windows update issue, try finding a newsgroup related
to whatever operating system you're using. If it's a virus scanner issue,
you'll probably need to go to the vendor's website.
