I have just installed KB952142 (security upgrade for Office 2007 unden Vista
HP). Since installing this, Send & Receive no longer work. Uninstalling it
solves the problem. Why cannot we have a free feedback for upgrade related
problems ?

Also why should it stop working ?

Hi Jons,

Check your firewall settings. If your mail program was updated, for example, the firewall may not be set to allow that new version
access.

This update screwed up my Outlook the same way kb946983 did, Outlook stops
talking to exchange, the firewall was disabled for both installs.

I am with Jons, there Needs to be a place to report errors in updates, one
that is easily accessable and free. Last time I tried reporting the problem
to tech support who summarily dissmissed the concept that an update could be
flawed and instead tried to blame MS Exchange server. If while I'm looking at
Mount Baker you poke my eyes and I can no longer see Mount Baker, the problem
isin't with Mount Baker.

I am having a similar (the same?) problem. After installing the KB952142
update, I can no longer send and receive. I am using Outlook Connector which
asks me several times for my password and then reports an error.

Using system restore to undo the update (which was the only one applied at
that restore point) restore functionality.

The version of Outlook Connector I am using is reported as 12.0.4518.1068 in
the about box.

I'd love to keep my software up-to-date, but I'd love more to get email.
Thanks for any tips!

Hi Rhaertel80,

Are you using Zone Alarm? If so, there's an update available from their website that may help.
