a certificate (signing or issuer) has expired

choice of ...disable, enable, more info

what is the cause of this warning, and how can i avoid it?

And what product do you have installed from scansoft that works with PDFs?
(You need to go to the support section at www.scansoft.com. You can pick
your product and discover that they are offering an updated pdfword.dot that
includes an updated security certificate.)

Thanks for your response. It helped my solve my problem. I still got the
message, after updating the file, but was permitted to check the box to
"always trust this source"
