Security Warnings and SP8

I've designed an Access 2000 database that is shared by a
group of users (back end on server, front end on their
desktops). Recently, our tech services folks "upgraded"
me to Access 2003 as part of the Office Professional
Edition. This doesn't seem good. I have a coupla
questions:

1. I now have to wade through 3 security warning dialog
boxes before the program will even open. I am warned each
time that unsafe expressions are not blocked. Since I
wrote the expressions, I'm not worried so I say open it
anyway and don't block anything. But it keeps harping on
the subject with the second dialog box, now telling me
that all kinds of bad things can happen if I don't
install Jet Service Pack 8 (Wizards and builders may not
start. Switchboards created by Switchboard Manager will
fail. The RunCode macro action for calling a Visual Basic
for Applications (VBA) procedure will fail. Event
handlers that call VBA procedures will fail. VBA
procedures called from a property sheet or used in a SQL
statement will fail. Filtering on a hyperlink field will
fail. Some VBA functions called from a property sheet or
SQL statement will fail. YIkes!) So I went online and
downloaded and installed SP8, but I stilll get the
warnings. And after I get past the first two warnings,
the third box again asks me if I want to open the file.
QUESTION: Is Access 2003 unstable? How can I stop this
madness? (Advanced topic: am I unstable?)

2. WHat compatibility issues might I have with my user
group that is still running Access 2000 if I program new
features using my wonderful new Access 2003?
