Security with multiple outlook accounts on single PC

Regarding an XP computer on an Exchange server, how can I configure
multiple Outlook accounts on this machine, where each cannot see the
other inbox or files.

We tried to set up multiple Outlook profiles, but now all five users
can see the other's e-mails, although a password is required to
send/receive. Need to have the password to open the inbox. What did
we do wrong?

Thanks

Are you setting up these Outlook "profiles" on a single user on the XP
system? If so then all you have done was add differnet E-mail accounts to
same profile. You may have setup a different PST file for each user, but
everyone would have access to those when they started Outlook.

If on the other hand you have multiple users setup and different Outlook
profiles on each user then there should not be a problem unless you shared
the same PST file for each user.

You will need to setup different users on the XP system and setup Outlook
for each user with a sepparate PST file for each. If you have one premade
PST with contacts and such then copy that file to their personal folder
under C:\Documents and Settings. I generally create an exchange folder
under their user folder so that I can easily locate the PST file later for
backup or repair.

If you have some savvy users who can browse to the other PST files then you
can turn on encryption and security on the different users to keep them from
getting access.
