Security wizard

I am trying to use the security wizard without success. When I get to the
window which asks me what objects I want to secure, I only see a blank grey
window!!! I have tried this on 2 different machines and get the same result.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

What version? You could always secure it manually. See

I am using 2003. I will however try your suggestion to do it manually. I
am however stil curious as to what I am doing wrong! Any Ideas?

I worked through your notes up to point 22. Here it fails again! There are
no object shown to be secured (as before in my original question). If I
press next (in the assumption that maybe they are hidden) I get an error
message! This is driving me nuts! Can you please advise me where I go from
here.

Try doing a repair of your installation. Help, Repair.

If that doesn't work, you can secure it without using the wizard.

Do steps 1-13. Then open Access logging in as the user you created to be a
member of the Admins Group.

Then go to www.jmwild.com/Security97.htm and follow the steps from 'Secure
it manually' to the end.

Hi Joan,

me again! Manually configuring worked thank you.

I thought I would give you an update on the wizzard problem!! Turns out it
was a faulty installation. Microsoft gave me another product code id and it
works like a dream!!
