Seeing images in RSS feeds automatically - Outlook 2007

When I first subscribed to a few different RSS feeds, I was able to view the
images in the preview pane.

For some reason now that has stopped working. I don't want to have to view
the full article to see the images.

Some settings I thought might be relevant:

-I'm using stand-alone Outlook (no exchange)
-I have "Permit Downloads in RSS Items" checked off
-For each RSS feed, I have "Automatically Download Enclosures for This Feed"
checked off

I don't recall having changed anything, but obviously something
changed...any ideas?

The enclosures shouldn't have anything to do with the images. Do you see
images in email items currently?

Vince,

I had no idea what enclosures was (I'm thinking it's attachments) but I
checked it off just in case it had anything to do with images...

No, I do not see images in my emails automatically - I have to click on
download images (which is how I want it).

But like I said, I was able to view the images before...I distinctly
remember this, especially because I signed up for RSS only a few days ago, so
it's not like I'm going from a memory from a long time ago...

Weird...

Yes, the enclosures is for attachments to RSS postings like podcast MP3s,
etc. Try changing the image download option for email and see if it carries
over to RSS postings.

Thanks for explaining enclosures...

It didn't carry over the image download option. Maybe I imagined they were
dowloading...although I clearly rememer thinking "this is pretty cool, so
much better than having to visit the web page to see the images"

Oh well. Thanks though.

If anyone is having this problem, I was able to fix this, after many, many
hours of trying many of the same steps. I finally got it fixed. For an idea
of the steps I took, please do a search for a post titled "Should I be able
to see pictures in Reading Pane? OL 2007".

Just FYI - as far as the answer to THIS question - YES - you should be able
to see images in the reading pane for your RSS feeds, if that's what you want.

Also, thanks Vince.
