Seeing Key Tasks across portfolio?

Issue: Portfolio of approximately 200 schedules. Each schedule has
some key milestones or tasks that every project team member must see.
For example -- a milestone that shows when all accounting work orders
are scheduled to be closed on a project.

Goal: To see all of these "key milestones" or "key tasks" across all
projects at the same time.

Possible Idea: If we assigned the key task to a "special" resource, is
there any way that all members of the team could see that assignment
like a manager would see the assignments of his folks?
