Seeing only "Business Notes" in Communication History

E

Ed Marmon

Hi,

I tried using filters to limit my view of the business contact's
"communication history" folder by specifying only viewing the type "note".

Unfortunately, this left me with a blank screen. I have many "business
note"s, and none of them show up. There is nothing else in the filter,
i.e., date range.

Why is there no choice for "business note" when choosing filter parameters?
How do I view only "business notes"? I have hardly any "outlook" type
items (journals, notes, etc ) as Ive moved it all over to the BCM side of
things.

The best way to accomplish this is with a new Outlook view. To do this from
the main Outlook window:

1.) From the menu, select "View | Current View | Define Views..."
2.) Select an existing view (defaults to the current view)
3.) Click the "Copy..." button and type a view name such as "Business Notes"
4.) Click the "Filter..." button and click on the "Advanced" tab
5.) Click "Field | All Journal Fields | Entry Type"
6.) Select "Is (exactly)" from the drop-down list
7.) Type "Business Note" (without the quotes) in the "Value" textbox
8.) Click "OK", "OK", "Apply View"

To easily switch between views, turn on the view pane by going to the the
main Outlook window and clicking "View | Navigation Pane | Current View Pane".
