Seeking Ken Sheridan

Dear Ken,

You helped me tremendously via WUGNET Office forum several years ago by
providing code to do two things in my Access 2002 Plant Data Base (for a
landscape architecture practice).

You provided a way to bring photo images into my entry and review form
without having to save the image files with the data base (over a gig of
storage).

You also provided a means to search the database to quickly find plants by
genus name, with a keystroke pick list.

Genius! I can't tell you how much time and expense you saved me.

I have upgraded to Office 2007 (for reasons unrelated to Access), and now I
find my great macros no longer work. May I contract with you to update these
macros so I can gain their functionality again?

Many thanks and regards,
Ron

The first thing to do is to make the folder containing your database a Trusted
location using the Trust Center. See the help for "Trust".

Yea! That did it, John.

Man, I just don't have time to go back and study VB programming!

I seem to recognize your name. Did you also hang out at WUGNET at one time?
Do you know Ken Getz. We used to correspond when I programmed apps in Ashton-
Tate's Framework way back when. Ken was an A-T techy before he got onto the
Access development team.

Many, many thanks!

I was on the old CompuServe forums before I came here; I've visited WUGNET but
never really spent time there. Getz is one of the Access deities of course;
I've used his Developer's Handbook innumerable times over the years, but never
corresponded with him personally.

Yes. It was the CS forums I remembered you from.

Again, many thanks, you saved me again!

Ron
