There is a wonderfull new feature in Word XP +, which Word hides (don't ask
me why), and there is not too much around that know about it (I think).
You have a whole beautiful drawing project going on in your document, layer
above layer, of all sorts of shapes and WordArts. Then you decide to change a
color or size (or whatever) of one or multiple objects lying behind 20
shapes. Well, there is no logical way of selecting it (except of tabbing
around 80 times till you catch it, and that's only one caught and you need to
select more).
Here is where this feature comes in use. Go to Tools>Cusomize>Commands,
select Drawing, and from the Commands pane drag out the Select Multiple
Objects button to any desired destination toolbar. (I placed it on the
Drawing toolbar, near the Select Object button.) Exit the dialog box, click
it and - see for yourself!
P.S. Renaming an object would be a wonderfull idea for Microsoft.
