select objects that are close to each other

In my old version of Word 2000 I had possibility:
"To select objects that are close to each other, on the Drawing toolbar,
click Select Object and drag a dotted box over the objects".
How I can realize the same operations in my new Word 2007?

Go to the Home Tab of the Ribbon & take a look at the right end. Click
Select, then choose Select Objects. Alternatively you can select one object
then Shift-click each additional one.
