select range limitation 255 chracters

Hi,
I have found there is select range textbox limitations of 255 characters.
Our project requirement needs the range more than 255 characters
can u suggest any workaround for it??
Our application is a window application and we are opening excel sheet to
select the range string. but when it exceeds 255 chars it goes blank.
please reply ASAP
