If I select columns A, C, and E to chart, how can I select column C to be
the X axis?

In Step 2 of the chart wizard; open the Series tab.
Edit the data so that the X-vales are your required vales in C

I find that much easier said that done. When I open that series tab, only
part of the equation or formula is shown. The box will not expand so I can
see it all. When I click on it and attempt to move the cursor towards the
end and see what is there, the formula starts changing.
When I look through some parts of a chart I find a SERIES equation. When I
look in Help, I find nothing about "Series."

What is the formula, what are its parts, and how do I get to it to edit it?
Thank you,
Bryan

You do not need to type anything. Click in the appropriate box (x-values or
y-values) and use the mouse to make the selection.Send me a message to my
email address (not group) and I will send you a file with a short movie.

Bryan -

Given a choice, it's always much easier to draw a chart with X as the
left most column. If it's up to you, change the data arrangement in the
worksheet.
