I have Office X ... when using Excel... and selecting a cell, the cell
is highlighted by a pale blue outline.... I can barely see it... is
there anyway to change the to shading or something that will make me
feel less blind....

thanks in advance

Hi

The color of the selection indicator comes from the settings you have chosen
in your MacOS preferences. Check the Preference Panes and adjust the
highlight color in the general controls.

Hi -
I have the same question. I had tried going to General Controls in
System Preferences (I'm using OS X). The only color setting there is
the highlight color. I too have a question about the OUTLINE color of
the cell when selected. I changed the highlight to Purple just to see
what would happen on my excel worksheet, but the cell when selected is
still outlined in a very light, faint green which is hard to see. I
assumed that the change was in Excel and even when to Preferences in
Excel and couldn't find anything there.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The fact is that you have to restart Excel to see the changes. But you did
the right thing in setting the Highlight color in the "General" preference
pane...
