Selecting a subform from its form

Hello,

I have a form and a subform on it. I need to refresh data
on the form when the data in the subform changes. for that
reason i wanted to use a standard macro, select form-->go
to control-->requery-->select subform-->go to control. But
i see an error message saying the subform i want to select
is not open. If i want to open the subform, then the form
itself opens. How can i solve this problem. I want to be
able to select a subform from a form. How is the syntax?
