Selecting, but printing all pages

I have an e mail correspondence that has grown to four pages. I just want
to print the first page. I remember that I used to select what I wanted, and
that's what would get printed. But now, even though select just first page,
all four are coming up to print.

Anyone out there? This is driving me crazy! I'm habituated to select a
paragraph and hit print, but now I'm getting 5 pages, 7 pages printing,
help!
Instead of just the paragraph
