Selecting dates

Good Day,

I'm creating an Absence Request template for our employees, on this form I
have created a line for each month with the corresponding dates.

ex: Jan 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25
26 27

I would like the employee to be able to click on the date and have that date
either be circled or greyout. Is there a way to do this or do you have
another suggestion for me?

I don't know any certain formula for solving your problem, but I can suggest
you a ready-made 'absence tracker' template which can perhaps be of help to
