Selecting multiple non-contiguous cells

I am trying to select multiple cells in a worksheet. However the cells are not touching. For instance, I am trying to select A:1, C:4, and J:25. On my old PC I could push control and then left click on the various cells but for Mac's pushing control and clicking initiates the right click function

Use the Command Key instead - it's the most direct equivalent to the PS's
Control key just like Option is comparable to Alt. The Control key on a Mac
is an "extra" :)

Have a run through Excel Help for other keyboard shortcuts & navigation
techniques. Most are similar but not necessarily exactly the same.

Hi,

When Microsoft decided to port Excel from the Mac to Windows they ran
into a roadblock. Windows keyboards don't have an Apple key. So they had
to pick a different modifier key. That hardware deficiency on Windows
forced Windows Excel to become incompatible with the original Mac version.

The concept of context sensitive menus also originated in Mac Excel. The
modifier key has always been the control key in Excel. The Excel Windows
team decided that since the control-key was mapped by Windows to the
right mouse click, it was available to use for something else. Since
they needed s key to press for multi-select, and control wasn't doing
anything on Windows, they picked the control key to be the multi-select
key instead of the Apple key.

The hardware limitation of Windows remains to this day. On the Mac, you
can still use the Apple key as the modifier for multi-select, and
control click still provides context sensitive pop-up menus just like
you could in every version of Excel (except for Windows versions).
