selecting text in Word

Hi

can anyone help? When I try to select/highlight text
where the cursor touches the top or bottom of the page,
it shoots either to the top or bottom of the whole
doucument, ie I can't control how much text is
highlighted. Can I change how quickly the cursor scrolls
down the document?

Click at one end of the desired selection. Use the elevator on the vertical
scroll bar to bring the other end in view, then Shift+click there.
