Selection Box Doesn't Move With Arrow Keys, Sheet Does

Hello,

I am using MS Excel 2004 for Mac. What did I do to make the Arrow
Keys move the whole sheet and not the Selection Box?

This is more than a little annoying. How can I stop this behavior?

Don't panic - You've inadvertently turned on Scroll Lock:) Take a look at
the Status Bar & you'll see that SCRL has a green traffic light next to it.

I don't know what type of keyboard you have but there should be a key above
the Navigation key group labeled Scroll Loc - hold down the Control or
Command key while you press it to turn the scroll lock mode off. (If you
have a laptop you may also have to hold the Fn key.)

Hi,

Thank you!

I have been a long time user of Excel and I have never seen this
before. By the way, I have an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and there is no
scroll lock key orr button on this keyboard. Knowing that is the
problem I can fix it. Thanks again.

I too have somehow accidently turned on the scroll lock on my Apple computer at school and the arrow keys move a screen at a time rather than cell by cell. I do not have have a key that says scroll lock on my keyboard. How do I turn off this fucntion? Thanks in advance (I hope.)

Well, Nick, it might help if we knew which version of Excel you're using and
what *type* of keyboard is involved... For all we know it could be anything
based on the limited information you provided.

One way:

The most common method of toggling scroll lock is CMD-F14
