Selection/Organization for Handwritting Notes

I really liked the functions offered in OneNote used in a TabletPC - however,
I find the selection tool less flexible than Journal... it doesn't allow me
to right click and drag around specific portions... but rather tries to us
"intelligent" boxing and move the hand written text out of my drag control...

is there anyway to change the OnteNote selection tool to more Journal like?
hold-button-select and drag? instead of the boxed shaped and "intelligent"
movement.

Unfortunately OneNote doesn't have lasso selection as Journal does (but this
is a popular request for the next version). Currently you can select in two
modes: marquee and text ranges. In first case you start pen/mouse drag
outside of any content and get that big box thing selecting everything on its
way. This might be a good thing if you want to move a chunk of separate notes
but still keep their relative positioning. You text range selection if you
want to copy/move just a few words from a note. To do so click inside the
container and drag: for typed text the selection will be char by char, for
ink it will be word by word.
