Selective Merge

R

Randy Hartwick

In Word 2000 I was able to select the names to use in the merge by having
another field in the data document and selecting based on the value of that
field. In Word 2003 I have to select when I perform the merge. Is there a
way that I can select what names I want to print by identifying them in the
data document?

Thanks,

Randy

There is very little difference between Word 2000 and Word 2003 in terms of
what you can do with a merge. Only the interface is different - and not
insurmountable - and the default means by which the merge connects to the
data has changed. There is no reason why you cannot continue to
conditionally merge data.
