Selective synching of Contacts to PDA/Smartphone?

L

LW

Using Outlook 2007 and Windows Mobile Device Center. Full synch works great !!
But I want to have all of my contacts in my Outlook Contacts folder but only
synch some of them to a device. Example folder contains friends and business
contacts. I only want business contacts to synch to my device.

Possible ??

Not an Outlook issue. Synching never is. Ask in a group that supports your
synch software.

This is an Outlook group, not an "everything that is Microsoft" group.

OK so I am using Outlook..I am asking about the contacts feature of
Outlook..if you are unable to help I understand just say so...

Perhaps someone else is and if so I would be grateful. So far your "help" is
suspect.

Not sure how else to say it. You are not asking about Outlook. What I'm
telling you is that synchronization is not handled by Outlook and there is
no setting in Outlook that controls it. Surely there is some documentation
that came with your mobile device that tells you which synchronization
software you are using. We would have no idea what that is. When you find
out what it is, then look for a group or forum that supports that software.
It may be an activsync group. It may be a Windows Mobile group. It may be
your OEM. It isn't an Outlook group.

Sorry, you don't understand: Because the Device Manager is responsible for
syncing you'd increase your chance for an answer by asking in a group for
that software; if that's not available try it with a group for Windows
Mobile.
