If I mail myself, the mail resides in outbox and doesn't go even I hit
send/receive. The send/receive status is complete.

My Outlook version is 2007
If you create a message (and it is in your Outbox) and you then open it and
close it, it will remain in your Outbox. If you create an e-mail, it will
automatically place itself in your Outbox and the subject of that message
will be _italicized_. The messages that are not sent, is the _subject_ of
those messages italicized ... or not?
I'm not an expert but my wife has had this happen to her. I had to show her
what I was wrote you and then she understood the process.
