Selling Databases

I am a consultant that designs and sells multimedia
training programs. I would like to design an Access
database that records student scores. This database would
be sold to clients who have Microsoft Access installed on
their hard drive.

Where can I go to learn about any constraints or
conditions that Microsoft places on sales of an Access
database?

Thanks.

It is even better than you thought.
Buy the Developer Edition of Access and you can develop and distribute your
application/database to anyone
who has windows. - when you create your package, it will include a run-time
version of Access,
and it is entirely royalty-free.

Hi Jim,

Since your clients already have Access on their systems there are no limits
on your selling databases to them. You don't even need to get the
Developer's Edition and provide the runtime. You're home free.

But, if there's no other reason that they have to have Access installed,
being able to package with the runtime could expand his target market.
