Selling Online

I am trying to set-up selling online. I have a shopping cart that i am using
(comersus) but I am confused aon how to actually go about selling online. My
bank offers a merchant account that I can purchase but I am not sure what
that includes. I have read articles and they talk about payment gateways but
I dont think I need one if I use a Meachant account from a bank or do I? If
someone knows a good site or can clarify what all needs to be done I would
appreicate it.

Hi

We use a card swipe and do customer not present transactions. We
looked at payment gateways and didn't bother with them. We debit the
customer account at dispatch.

Also we have a GPRS mobile card swipe for event and exhibitions.

some accounting software MS's Small Business Accounting (which I'm currently
using) and the others (Peachtree, QuickBooks, etc.) have facilities built
right into them. That's what I've always used since cards are never
present.
