Send and receive options

Could anyone tell me how you configure office to send a
message without it sitting in the outbox till you click
send/receive again.
I also want emails to come straight into my inbox when I'm
connected to the internet without having to click send and
receive.
My work's program does this, but my home edition does not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
