When i send an email it just sits in the inbox until i click send and receive
then it will send the email and then i will also get my emails. How do i just
click send and it sends the email and make it so that i can get my emails
without having to click send and receive

It shouldn't sit in your Inbox, but rather your Outbox. Did you mistype?

You also didn't state your Outlook version, so the following is for Outlook
2002/2003.

Click Tools>Options>Mail Setup. Check the box labeled "Send immediately
when connected". Then click Send/Receive, check the first box labeled
"Schedule an automatic send/receive every" and enter a reasonable value in
the minutes box. Do not choose a value less than about seven or eight
minutes. Ten is the recommended minimum. Click Close, then OK.
