Send Blinged-Out UNC Path

Hi All,

I was just wondering...

If I send an UNC path to a file or folder on our LAN to another
department, assuming that the file or folder is accessible from that
department, what will it look like in the recipient's message? Is
there anything I can do to "pretty the path"?

I was hoping to make it so that a simple click by recipent will open
the file folder directly from Oulook, sparing them a manual copy of
path into address bar of Explorer.

Also, if this is true for Outlook, is there MIME format that will make
same thing work if one of our clients, who has access to our VPN,
clicks on the path, but is using a different mail reader?

TIA,

Why does it need to be "pretty"?

I find UNC paths to be clickable in Outlook. I specify

\\server\share\folder1\folder2\file

works just fine for my recipients. If the path contains spaces, then

<\\server\share\Folder 1\Folder 2\file>

works.

So that it is evident that it is clickable. :)

Nice. this is what I was hoping for. :)
