Send Distribution List by Email

I am trying to send a distribution list via email. I have tried attaching
the distribution list by dragging it from contacts to a new email and by
doing Attach Item. I have also tried sending the distribution list and the
contacts associated to the distribution list. Everytime, the recipient
receives blank attachments. How do I resolve?

The message has to be in rich-text format for that to work. Make sure you
don't have Outlook set to convert RTF messages to HTML.

Does the recipient have to be set to a cetain format? I am using Outlook
2007 and sending to several Outlook 2003 users.

This is ridiculous, it should not be this hard. I have changed how I send
the message to RTF, I have checked how the other person receives the email in
Outlook 2003. Regardless, if they receive it in HTML, RTP or Plain Text,
they do not get the distribution list. According to Microsoft Outlook 2007's
help, I should be able to drag the list and drop it on an email, it does not
say anything about changing all the formats for sending and receiving. I can
send an Outlook 2007 contact as a vCard to someone with Outlook 2003 just
fine but not the distribution list. Help.......

Works for everyone else. Make sure neither sender or recipient runs any
email AV scanning. Specify your mail account type.
State what the recipient sees.

I am using Outlook 2007, Microsoft Exchange. Sending to Outlook 2003 Pop3
and Outlook 2007 Microsoft Exchange. Both receive either a .txt file or a
blank attachment depending on how I send it. I have tried sending it in
HTML, RTF, Plain Text as well as using attach item, attach in Internet Format
and attach in Outlook Format. I can attach contacts as vCards and those are
received just fine.

More info: The email and attachment looks correct in my sent items. I just
tried sending a distribution list from Outlook 2003, Pop3 to Outlook 2007,
Microsoft Exchange and it worked fine. Appears the email went out in HTML
format and was received in HTML. Drag and drop worked just fine so it
appears to be something with Microsoft Exchange and/or antivirus. If that is
the case why would it stip the distriibution list but not the individual
contacts sent as vCards?

DL's are in a proprietary format that AV or some mail servers might strip.
vCards are a standard Internet format that would not cause a problem.

If you can't get Exchange to pass the DL, save the DL as a text file and send
that. The receiver can create a new DL and cut/paste the info from the text
file to the Members field of the DL. It's a little more drawn-out, but it
will work.
