send e-mail prior to task

Is it possible for project to send an e-mail through
Outlook to parties about pending task?

Hi Yvonne,

Yes. If you have project 2000 or 2002 you may run the
add-on that came with the CD. The file your need is
WGSetup.exe. Search for Team communication in help and
see the topics on "Set up an email system for team
collaboration." and "Requirements for team communication
using a MAPI-based email system."

If you are using Project 2003 you will need to download
the message handler from Microsoft's download center.
