I am using CDO for sending the email, but there was an alert message come out when the mail sent outside. Is it possible to disable this alert message as I want to sending the mail in slient mode?? Moreover, I need to deploy the Excel application in Win98, win2000 and winxp. Does the CDO available in all windows ??

Million Thanks

Some great info Ron.

Just a note about reason 5 for using CDO.
I believe Microsoft have released a security patch which features the
security warning just like Outlook.

Hi Rob
Thanks

It is still working Rob
I use CDO for Windows 2000 in my examples and not
Microsoft® Collaboration Data Objects (CDO)

Maybe you mean this one ??

Ron,

To be honest with you, I didn't even know there were different CDOs which
handle mail.
I tried in the past to work around Outlook's Security Alerts. During
research I discovered CDO was affected.

In the end we resorted to something about Default Outlook Security template
or something like that.

I thought I'd just pass on the advice, but it seems I'm confused ;)

Cheers!

The only thing that confuses me is when Bob starts using words containing
four or more syllables. <g>
Chrysanthemums, serendipity... <sigh>

;)

Hi Rob,

Good job you didn't pick up on a previous discussion between Norman Harker
and myself where we bandied the merits of floccinaucinihilipilification,
antidisestablishmentarianism and anteprandialcircumgyration<vbg>. Started I
may add by Chip who uses the anti- word.
