Send event invitation

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Email Client: pop

How do I send an event/meeting invitation? I'm able to create the event and add people but the invitation is never sent. Also I can't access my event menu. The menu has a dead color on that shows you can't access its itens.

Are you sure you are connected to your exchange server? Check your accounts and ensure that you do not have an ! next to your account indicating that you are not connected.
