Send File to OneNote

I am having trouble printing to OneNote 2007 beta. I can insert an entire
file as a printout just fine (and have previously had to uninstall ON 2007,
get rid of my send to ON 2003 powertoy, and reinstall ON 2007), but I cannot
take a larger file and print it to ON 2007 in chunks. For instance, I want
to print pages 1 - 23 of a pdf document, so I went into the document, went to
print, told it I wanted pages 1 - 23, selected Send to Microsoft OneNote, and
hit print. It told me "OneNote cannot find a page on which to insert your
printout. Navigate to a page in your notebook, and then try again." I have
created a page in the section where I want the file to go and have navigated
there before switching over to the pdf document. I also tried going into the
properties then advanced on the print screen and selecting the folder section
where I want the file to go as the "default folder". What am I doing wrong,
here? I thought I'd take some advice and try printing larger files to
OneNote in sections for better note-taking.

I tried sending a .jnt file to OneNote and I get the same error message as I
did with the .pdf file. My biggest problem with the Journal file, however,
is when I try to insert the whole file as a printout, it only inserts the
first page of the Journal document! Do I have a setting wrong, here?

Okay - from looking around for the error message other places online, I went
into Tools, Options, Filing Rules, and changed the printouts to print to the
current page. So far, so good. What was wrong with the default settings?
Is there a problem with the page it was trying to send it to?

As you meanwhile detected how to solve the main problem (target of the
printed image):
Printing a whole PDF or only parts of it (Acrobat allows to select
which pages to print [contrary to ON where a selection of which parts
of imported documents to be printed is missing]) does not make any
difference.

FWIW:
Printing from Journal into ON sends all of the pages of a Journal
documents on my machine(s).

I believe that you are having this problem, I am just not sure why. I just
tried this and it works fine for me. Using the default filing rule
(printouts get inserted in the Unfiled section), I opened a 66 page pdf,
clicked the radio button to print pages 1-66, changed it to print pages 1-10,
picked Send to OneNote from the list of printers, and pressed Print. This
printed 10 pages to a new page in my unfiled notes section. sorry that
doesn't help you, but at least you seem to have found another way to do it.
