Send Form Definition with Item

This is probably a very basic question but please bear with me, I'm new
at this and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere! Is there a simple
way to make sure that a form that I've designed and sent to a recipient
always shows up the way I want it to?

I've created a custom e-mail message form in Outlook and checked off
the box that says "send form definition with item". According to my
understanding, that should mean that no matter what computer I send
this e-mail to, it should show up looking the way I designed it. But
when I send it to certain recipients, it shows up in the standard
message form found in their standard forms library. Sometimes it shows
up right, but when they send it back to ME the customization is lost on
my end! (I've edited both the compose page and read page, so that's not
the problem). Also, in cases where the form has shown up right in the
past, if I make changes to the form's design and send it again, the
updates don't appear on the recipient's screen (the recipient sees the
previously saved version of the form).

I would really like to just put the form into a shared library, but my
boss doesn't want this. What's the best way to make sure a form I send
will look the way I designed it to?

Thanks for any help.

You need to send it using the TNEF wrapper. This is controlled, in
OL2K, by opening the Contact item for the recipient, selecting the email
address, right-clicking it, and choosing properties. On the bottom of
that panel is a box labeled "Always send to this recipient in rtf" Pay
no mind to the rtf business, just check the box.

In OL2K2 and Ol2K3, that check back has been hidden inside a drop-down
list box, instead.
