"send" gives error message

Using Office 97, SR2, Windows XP Home. Bring up a report in Access and try
to SEND using Snapshot. On clicking SEND the following error message comes
up. "Microsoft Access can not open the mail session. Check your mail
application to make sure it is operating properly." I have checked the
mail session (Using Outlook Express, ver 5.0 on a dial up system) and as far
as I can determine everything is set/working properly. Using email there is
no problem. I have tried the suggestions in MS Knowledge Base Article
283173 but the referenced Registry entry does not contain "MapiDLL". Have
two other computers with same setup (except DSL instead of dial up). These
work fine using OE. Need
some suggestions on what setting I have miss set in OE or other ideas.
