send object isn't available

When using the sendObject function in my macro, I get the following message:
"The command or action 'SendObject' isn't available now. You may be in a
read-only database or an unconverted database from an earlier version of
Microsoft Access"
I am not in a read-only database. I have converted the database to 2002.
Any suggestions on how to get the sendObject to work?
