hello,
Outlook seems to be having a problem handling UTF properly. Here's what
happens.
1. Cannot read "plain text" email encoded in utf-8, neither the headers nor
the body.
It can only read the body of html email encoded in utf-8 (not the
headers again).
Selecting the encoding from the View>Encoding does nothing.
2. Cannot send "plain text" email encoded in utf-8.
3. Does not allow for any other character set other than English to be used
for the Subject.
The only settings that I could find are in
Tools > Options > Mail format > International Options > Encoding for
outgoing messages
and in
Tools > Options > Mail format > Fonts > International Fonts > Encoding
Both of these are set to UTF.
What can I do to make Outlook handle UTF properly??
I'm using the English version with the Proofing Tools.
Am I missing something?
I hope I am, otherwise I have just wasted lots of money....
Thank you
George
