Send Receive Error: Object deleted

Boppy

Did some file cleanup over the weekend and now getting this error:
"Sending reported error "0x8004010a "The operation cannot be performed
because the object has been deleted."

This will no doubt be because I tried to create a new profile and
deleted the "lost and found" file that resulted from a previous
scanpst.exe.

My ISP helpdesk told me to delete all accounts and create a new one,
then couldnt' assist further and told me to call Microsoft who want to
charge me $75 to fix this.

Before I get my credit card out I thought it might be worth asking
here to see if I can get some advice to help me get this right.

Basically what I want to achieve is to set up a new profile/account/
whatever I need while retaining my existing calendar, contacts and
mail.

I am using MS Office 07 on Windows Vista Business.

Thanks in advance to whoever can help me sort this out.

Have you tried creating a new mail profile? (Not new account)

It is likely that you've deleted you Inbox folder. When scanpst finds
errors and created the "Lost and Found" folder set, sometimes your default
folders can be there. It appears one of yours was. The "Lost and Found"
folder is NOT a file and you should never delete it until you've created a
new PST with no structural problems and then copy the data from the old,
repaired PST to the new one.

To create a new profile, see this:

Thanks Brian - I'll have a look at that. Presently I have .pst files
all over the place and need to figure out which to keep/import/use
etc.

Cheers,

The answer to the question of which you should import is easy: none of them.
Do not import from a PST. Open it in Outlook with File>Open>Outlook Data
File.
