I have Windows XP with Microsoft Office 2003. I have had a recurring problem
in Outlook, that when I am sending/receiving, the system freezes. This is
seen by a series of vertical lines on my computer screen, and the screen
images becoming unstable, and eventually stopping. The mouse/keyboard don't
work, and the internet connection closes.
I used to be able to fix this my "repairing Office 2003" using the disc, and
then the problem wouldn't occur for months.
The problem occurred two days ago, and wasn't fixed by repairing Office
2003, despite several attempts. I have uninstalled Office 2003 and
reinstalled it, but the problem still occurs.
Just working in Outlook doesn't seem to cause problems; it is the
sending/receiving.
Any suggestions on how to fix this short of reloading XP?
