Send/Receive functionality has disappeared from my
installation of Outlook 2003 beta 2 Technical Refresh. The
application opens and the Send/Receive button is briefly
visible in the Standard Toolbar, then it disappears.
Send/Receive no longer appears in the Tools Menu, nor does
it function by pressing the F9 key. Moreover, in attempting
to add the Command back in to the toolbar, the command is
not visible in the list of commands available, nor does it
appear greyed out on the list of installed commands.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times,
but the functionality has not returned. Does anybody have
an idea how I can recover from this?
I can still send/receive using Outlook Express, but prefer
to use Outlook as my e-mail client. I can also
send/receive using Netscape 7.1. So it does not appear to
be a system problem, but perhaps some obscure setting in
Outlook itself, where I have inadvertently disabled the
Send/Receive capability.
