I have a problem with send/receive groups created with Outlook 2002
don't work with Outlook 2003. Following an upgrade from Outlook 2002
to Outlook 2003, folders wiil no longer synchronize and the only way
round this is to recreate the send/receive group. Making a copy of the
group doesn't work either.
This looks like there is a compatibilty issue with the SRS file
holding the group configuration. What works fine in Outlook 2002
doesn't work in Outlook 2003. The file that Outlook 2003 creates is
larger than the file create by Outlook 2002. Being a binary file it is
difficult to see what the differences are.
We use send/receive groups for laptop users (about 2000) working
online/offline and don't want to use cache mode until we get Exchange
2003 (Exc 2000 at the moment). Plus we don't want users to create new
send/receive groups to fix the problem.
Doesn't anyone know or have a fix for this problem?
Thanks,
Steve
