Send/Receive Issues

I have 2 issues with Outlook 2003 Professional...
I was receiving an error message when I sent e-mails reading "Sending'
reported error (0x80040109) : 'The operation cannot be performed because the
message has been changed.' however the message was still sent, the recipeints
actually received 2 copies of the message.
I am now not receiving any error messages, however I am unable to access my
send/receive options, i click on the menu item and nothing happens, and I am
experiencing the same issue with clicking the manual send/receive button. I
am fairly new to Office so I'm unsure on how to resolve these issues.
Can anyone help me out?

Hi Emma Boland,
most time the error occured, if you use NAV or Firewall software.
Please deaktivate your NAV !

Thanks for your help Andreas, however I am hesitant to deactivate the NAV
software, as our Sygate Firewall was causing issues with sending outgoing
mail so it has been deactivated, deactivating NAV would result in my pc being
left completely open, and being connected to a server I fear this may not be
the best option. Are there any other potential solution to the issue?

Andreas did not mean to completely disable NAV. He said to stop the checking
of incoming and outgoing mail by NAV. It is totally unnecessary, as NAV will
still catch any viruses in your mail when you attempt to open them.

Thanks for your help, I will try and see if this solves the failed message
problem. I don't think it will allow me to see my send receive settings
though... I'm not sure what happened there.
